MP Laurence Turner Supports Get Further Programme Impact At Cadbury

Member of Parliament for Birmingham Northfield, Laurence Turner, and CEO and Founder of Get Further charity, Sarah Waite, were at Cadbury Sixth Form College to see first-hand the impact of an award-winning programme for disadvantaged learners.

Cadbury is working in partnership with Get Further – a charity that delivers a series of interventions to help learners secure gateway English and Maths qualifications to unlock opportunities, and ensure that students’ backgrounds are never a barrier to accessing the high-quality, targeted support they need to succeed.

Laurence and Sarah had the opportunity to meet learners and tutors from the GCSE Resit Tuition Programme, to understand more about the impact the programme has, and help raise the profile of the challenges posed by the end of state-funded tutoring.
