Joshua Secures Junior Artworker Apprenticeship With Leading Agency

We’re proud to share that Joshua, one of our graphics and media students from Cadbury Sixth Form College, has secured a Junior Artworker apprenticeship.
Joshua will be starting his new role with Emperor – one of the UK’s leading employee-owned creative communications agencies – in September, after successfully completing their recruitment process with early careers specialist Visionpath.
Joshua’s journey began when our Careers Officer, Lucy Richardson, arranged for Visionpath, representing Emperor, to deliver an after‑college workshop for our second‑year Creative Arts and Business students.
Following the session, learners were given exclusive access to apply for apprenticeship roles with Emperor: a unique opportunity that Joshua embraced with determination.
To secure his place, Joshua impressed at both the applicant day and interview stage, demonstrating his creativity, commitment and potential.
We were delighted to welcome Katie Haley from Visionpath and Ruth Hinman from Emperor as they introduced the exciting apprenticeship pathways available in Birmingham.
Both organisations share a strong commitment to supporting young people from under-represented backgrounds, and we’re proud to work alongside them to open doors for our learners.
Katie Haley said: “Joshua really made an impression in the school outreach session and continued to impress Emperor through the recruitment process. Well deserved!”

Cadbury Sixth Form College remains open.

With higher temperatures expected over the next few days, we are reminding all students to come prepared for hot weather so they can stay comfortable and focused while learning:

  • Stay hydrated throughout the day and make regular use of the college water fountains
  • Wear light, breathable clothing suitable for warm conditions
  • Bring a hand‑held fan or other small cooling aid
  • Refill water bottles frequently and avoid excessive time in direct sun during breaks

Thank you for your support in helping students stay safe and well during the warm weather.
