This T Level is designed for learners aged 16-19 who wish to work in team leadership and management within a business.

Course Structure:

  • 80% Classroom Learning – Students study 14 core topic areas relevant to the Management & Administration industry.
  • 20% Industry Placement – A minimum of 45 days (315 hours) on placement with an employer to gain on-the-job technical skills. The occupational specialism we deliver is team leadership and management.

Occupational Specialism: Team Leadership and Management

If you choose this pathway, you’ll focus more deeply on:

  • Handling conflict or underperformance

Extended Work Placement

You will apply practical skills within real-world employment settings by completing a 45 day extended work placement with an employer.

Students will study in our brand new £6.6 million STEM Centre, equipped with a dedicated collaboration suite for team projects, state-of-the-art computer rooms and a dedicated seminar space for guests and student presentations, creating a professional environment that mirrors the modern workplace.

To study a T Level students are required to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths & English.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the core course content will be assessed through examinations
  • Core skills will be assessed through the completion of an employer-set project
  • Further core skills and workplace practices will be assessed through the completion of the 45 day extended work placement and occupational specialism assignments

This T Level is equivalent to 3 A Levels, and will qualify you to progress onto:

  • University
  • Employment
  • Apprenticeship

This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to work in any sector within a leadership and managerial role.
