Equivalent to 3 A Levels, the two-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure the content prepares learners for the world of work and meets industry needs.

Around 80% of your time will be spent in the classroom with the remaining 20% being spent in an industry placement for 45 days. The occupational specialism we deliver in T Level health is Adult Nursing.

Our T Level courses offer an exciting and career-focused alternative to traditional qualifications, combining classroom learning with hands-on industry experience. One of the biggest benefits is that you’ll finish college with real work experience on your CV (more than most college students), giving you a competitive edge when applying for jobs or university. You’ll also have the chance to build valuable connections with businesses during your industry placement, with the potential to secure a job offer at the end of your course. Students will study in our brand new £6.6 million STEM Centre, equipped with a health simulation room, creating a professional environment that mirrors the modern workplace.

To study a T Level students are required to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including Maths & English. For Health T Level, you will also need a minimum of a grade 5 in Maths or Science GCSE.

Specifically for T Level Health, students have:

  • visited Wolverhampton University for a masterclass in Health
  • Undertaken a moving and handling training day from an external provider and get certified for 2 years in the health care industry
  • Listened to a range of talks from healthcare professionals from the NHS to speak about careers, progressions, safeguarding, health care

Assessment for the T Level Health course consists of:

  • Core component: 2 written examinations
  • ESP (Employer Set Project)
  • Occupational specialism component for Supporting Healthcare
  • A case study assessment
  • 2 practical activities assessments: one for the core Supporting Healthcare, and one for the occupational specialism
  • A professional discussion

Students who achieve this qualification could progress to the following, depending on their chosen occupational specialism:
