This two-year BTEC course is ideal for school leavers who are passionate about sport and aspire to pursue a career in coaching or wider roles within the sports industry. With a strong focus on practical coaching skills, the programme offers a clear progression into higher education or direct employment in sport and leisure sectors.
In Year 1, students will explore the breadth of career opportunities within the sports industry and develop an understanding of health and wellbeing. The core of the year is centred around Unit C1: Developing Coaching Skills, where learners will begin building the fundamental skills needed to plan, deliver and review coaching sessions.
