Maths Core A Level is all about how Maths works in real life. From managing money and understanding loans, to interpreting data in the news or making smart decisions in business, this course is all about practical problem-solving using real-world scenarios.

You’ll explore:

  • Personal finance – budgeting, tax and interest rates

  • Statistics and data – how numbers can be used in advertising, politics, and social media.

  • Modelling and estimation – figuring out how to plan events, analyse risk, and make predictions using maths.

  • Graphs and spreadsheets – the kind of tools you’ll use in future study, work or everyday life.

This course is perfect if you’re doing A Levels in subjects like Psychology, Biology, Geography, Business or Economics and want to keep up your maths skills in a way that feels useful and relevant. It’s also a great boost for your CV or UCAS application – universities and employers really value Core Maths because it shows you can think logically and handle data.
