This course is for students who want to understand a variety of environmental systems, the impact humans have on them, and how we can live more sustainably.
It supports progression to science and geography-based courses such as Agricultural Science, Environmental Consultancy, Air Pollution Analysis, Natural Resource Management, and Environmental Engineering, as well as careers in politics, architecture, or journalism.
Environmental Science is a holistic subject covering biology, geography, chemistry, geology and physics. Students explore how human society depends on natural systems and how sustainable lifestyles can be achieved. The course develops research skills and encourages understanding of the interrelationships between systems, while also building key skills such as communication, teamwork, numeracy and critical thinking.
The course is a 2-year linear course split into 7 modules.
