This rigorous and rewarding course is ideal for school leavers with strong GCSEs who are considering university study in Engineering, Control Systems or Computer Science, or aiming for a higher-level skills apprenticeship. Electronics is a largely theoretical subject focused on applying formulas and performing calculations.
The AS course introduces core electronic systems and principles across 8 key topics and the full A Level builds on this foundation with deeper exploration into areas such as communication and audio systems, covering 14 chapters in total. Students sit two exams (including AS content) and complete two additional coursework projects.
