Cadbury Head Of Curriculum Shortlisted For Equality Award

We’re proud to share that Head of Curriculum at Cadbury Sixth Form College, Abiola Adeboyejo, has been shortlisted for the Birmingham Law Society’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award 2026.

Abi has been nominated for her work with The Tyro Lawyer CIC, an online mentoring programme she founded for sixth form, college and university students interested in a career in the legal profession, making a meaningful difference beyond the classroom and into the wider community.

The legal awards, taking place in February, celebrate the outstanding legal talent in our region, judged by a panel brought together from the world of law, business and academia.

Voted Birmingham Black Lawyers Diversity Champion 2023, Abi is committed to widening access to the legal profession and supporting the next generation with the skills, confidence and opportunities to succeed.

She said: “This recognition means a great deal to me. The Tyro Lawyer Mentoring Programme was created to break down barriers, and support aspiring lawyers from underrepresented backgrounds with the confidence, skills and networks they need to succeed. This has been possible through our incredible mentors who give their time, courage and commitment to making the legal profession more inclusive.”
