Gaining real-world experience is a vital part of becoming skills-ready and work-ready.
Cadbury Sixth Form College student Daniella did just that when she took centre-stage in a Dragons’ Den–style challenge, pitching a marketing campaign to partners and senior managers at the EY Foundation, and being awarded Student of the Smart Futures Programme for her eloquence.
Daniella’s campaign plan focused on using AI and machine learning, applying ideas formed from her BTEC Business course to a real business context, developing key employability skills including communication, teamwork and problem-solving.
Through group tasks and business-focused activities, Daniella’s Business & Technology work placement boosted her confidence in planning, decision-making and professional working practices.
