"The Cadbury College mission is to provide high quality education leading to excellent higher education and employment prospects for our diverse community of students.
At the end of Year 11 young people face a choice between staying on at school or progressing to a college. We believe that they benefit greatly from a change of institution and that transferring to a sixth from college such as Cadbury offers them great advantages.
Cadbury College is one of Birmingham’s specialist sixth form colleges, which provides young people with the choice of studying from over 45 advanced level subjects in an environment that is designed exclusively to meet the needs, interests and aspirations of 16-18 year olds.
Students also have a unique opportunity at Cadbury; they can study just A Levels, mix A Levels with BTEC qualifications, or create a programme of more than one vocational subject. There really is lots of variety on offer, which we believe enable students to create a programme of study that they will not only enjoy, but is one that is unique to them.
Our students come over from 130 schools in Birmingham and the wider area; making Cadbury a diverse college with a strong sense of community and a friendly but purposeful atmosphere.
Life at college is very different to that at school; our students have greater freedom and take responsibility for their own learning. However, as at school, a watchful eye is kept on students’ performance and regular contact with parents is valued.
At Cadbury we have high expectations of our learners, not just in academic performance, but in the way that they conduct themselves and develop personally. They are expected to exemplify an ethos of mutual respect, positive encouragement and participation. Around 75% of learners go on to university and much that we do is tailored to developing the skills for university and the changing world in which our leavers will work.
Our website will give you an introduction to Cadbury College, but the best way to find out is to visit us in person at one of the open events that we organise. We look forward to welcoming you to Cadbury College."
